Stormwater Monitoring
Our volunteers monitor for pollution can harm marine wildlife. We help our city governments by steering their limited manpower toward our discoveries of stormwater pollution sources. Storm water is one of the three major causes for the decline and of our native salmon population. Click below to learn more!
Winter Lecture Series
Our environmental lecture series is back by popular demand! We’re happy to announce that our new and improved lecture series will begin again in November 2024 in person located in Anacortes, Washington. There will also be lectures in January, February, and March of 2025. Can’t wait to see you there!
Trail Tales
Trail Tales offers educational and recreational activities in a setting that offers rich history and dramatic natural beauty along the shores or Fidalgo and Padilla Bays. The project strives to increase both public understanding and stewardship of the valuable natural resources of these bays and shorelines.
Fidalgo Bay Days
We’ve teamed up with other community partners to help host the Skagit Marine Resources Committee’s Fidalgo Bay Day and celebrate one of Skagit County’s most important resources: the estuaries and aquatic reserve. Join us every August for a family-friendly event that’s fun and intriguing for all ages!
Plastic Recycling Education
We have partnered with Skagit County Solid Waste Division and the Skagit Marine Resource Committee’s Salish Sea Stewards volunteer program to provide education and outreach to residents of Skagit County to reduce single-use plastics that can find their way into our waterways and become marine debris.
Creature Tales
Love learning about all of the many species who call the Salish Sea home? Use our Creatures Tales portal to learn about this wildlife and explore cool facts! Content was provided by Coastal Volunteer Partnership volunteers and a generous grant provided by and the WA Deptartement of Ecology.
